Urbanauts Hospitality GmbH operates in the hospitality industry, as the name suggests, and is particularly known for its Grätzlhotels. Now the offering is expanding with the new brand Urbanauts Studios. For this, we are responsible for the entire branding and web presence. To say the least, it is extensive.

With our slogan “The Essence of Local,” we are launching the concept. Guests should be able to connect with locals to create the feeling of experiencing places like a true local. Based on this, the goal was to develop a visual design concept that reflects the diversity and international presence of Urbanauts. At the same time, it was important to create a modular and expandable concept that is able to consistently accompany the continuously growing company.

The different arrangement and placement of the wordmark components create various individual shapes. These shapes are not only visually reminiscent of architectural floor plans but also serve as identifiers and distinguishing features for each location where Urbanauts Studios are situated. In addition, each location is assigned an individual color palette inspired by the respective city and locality. At the same time, these colors complement the (subdued) overall color scheme of Urbanauts Studios.

To emphasize the personal aspect, we chose a combination of grotesque and monospaced typefaces. Handwriting elements serve as the icing on the cake to underline the special charm and hospitality of Urbanauts Studios. So, we went all out on this project. And honestly, complex projects are still our favorites.
