Vienna Stock Exchange

Last year, the Vienna Stock Exchange celebrated its 250th anniversary. In commemoration of this milestone, we further developed the existing corporate identity and corporate design, which included the logo, and positioned the exchange for the future.

Now, a year later, our focus was on blending the well-received anniversary design with the corporate design we had crafted two years ago. »Delivering the future since 1771« evolved into »Delivering a world of good deals,« keeping our eyes firmly on the future.

The new branding draws inspiration from two longtime companions of every stock exchange: the Bull and the Bear. A quick primer: the bull represents rising stocks, while the bear signifies falling stocks. It’s not surprising that the bear is typically relegated to the background. However, what if we treat these symbols equally? After all, without falling stocks, there would be no rising stocks. This concept makes sense.

That’s why, in our new branding for the Vienna Stock Exchange, the bear and the bull are of equal significance. This modern approach is also reflected in the key visual. The shades in the fresh and modern color palette, featuring petrol and golden-brown, emphasize the interconnected aspects of this symbolism. In line with the key visual, we collaborated with 3D artist Nick Grambacher to create a sculpture that will be exhibited in the Vienna Stock Exchange’s foyer. The Bear and the Bull, the stock market’s enduring companions, now almost hand in hand with us, so to speak.
