250 Years Vienna Stock Exchange

Delivering the future since 1771. This year the Vienna Stock Exchange is celebrating its 250th anniversary. For the occasion, we have adapted the existing branding accordingly and expanded its positioning.

It was important to design an extension that is directly related to the next 250 years and does not only work in the context of the anniversary.

Therefore, brand unit provided conceptual input to not only address the past, but always seek access and connection to the future. For this purpose, a digital interview platform should be created that brings together experts from a wide variety of areas in order to elaborate on and discuss the future.We expanded the square of the logo featuring the traditional stock market red. The current cube serves as a central point where things arise and decisions are made. Every move has an impact on the present, but also the future and the past. This three-dimensionality is also picked up in the color world. A palette of gold, green and blue tones build a bridge from what already happened to the anticipated future. The key image with a honeycomb structure works as recurrent theme of the positioning and can be found in a wide range of applications from business cards, to the anniversary publication, video lead stories and social media posts. Visually supported by the new branding, the Future Forum, the anniversary’s accompanying program, sees itself as an incentive to explore the past, present and future more closely on various levels.
