Steirereck Website

Web Design, Positioning, UX Design

The Steirereck is among the most renowned restaurants in the world, proudly holding 2 Michelin stars. It’s celebrated for its extraordinary cuisine and its deep appreciation for high-quality ingredients, many of which are grown directly at Pogusch. This philosophy of freshness and regionality needed to be reflected in a modern and interactive online presence. Our mission was clear: to design a new website that authentically conveys Steirereck’s values and invites guests to immerse themselves in its world in a playful way.

To achieve this, we developed an interactive mini-game that brings the Steirereck philosophy to life—not with complicated levels or bosses, but as an easy and engaging introduction to its culinary experience. Another key feature of the website is the curated collection of images and articles from the iconic S-Magazine. Over the years, this magazine has amassed stunning photographs and fascinating stories, which we showcased in a clear and visually appealing format. It’s a true treasure trove for anyone wanting to learn more about Steirereck!

A recurring theme in the design is the circle. At Steirereck, round shapes are a constant presence—whether in the tables, the rooms, or the dishes.

We incorporated these circular design elements into images, buttons, and backgrounds to bring the restaurant’s atmosphere online, creating a harmonious connection between the physical and digital worlds. The new Steirereck website invites visitors to experience the restaurant in a completely new way—visually, interactively, and always in tune with the essence of the establishment. The result is a website that reflects the same meticulous attention to detail as Steirereck itself—free of unnecessary frills, but full of character.
